Modify object attribute from a script running from a Windows command line

Hi, everyone!

I'm quite new to DXL and I'm trying to modify an object attribute inside a DOORS formal module using a script running from a Windows command line. The script works fine when I'm running it in a DXL Interaction window open in a formal module window in DOORS. Notably, when I close the formal module window and run the script from DXL Interaction window of my root /System folder i get the following error:

-R-W- DXL: <Line:18> no access to modify attribute 'AttrName'

The same error is raised when I run the script from Windows command line with DOORS being closed.
I use the following instruction:

DOORS_install_path>doors.exe -u user -P password -b path_to_script\script.dxl

All the paths are correct because I can retrieve attributes values running the script this way but when I try to modify something I get the error listed above.

What should I do to give enough access rights to my user? And why does the user lose his rights when the module window is closed?

Here's how I access the module from script. And I can definitely say that script finds the module.

string moduleName = "/System/Классы"
Module mod
mod = read(moduleName ,false)

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Dmitry

You might want to try edit (moduleName, false) instead of read(moduleName,false) or else you will face serious problems when trying to change anything :-) Regards, Mathias

Thank you, Mathias!
Now I see that was quite an obvious one : )
